01

The passage, given room

A long chapter asks something different of your attention than a single verse. Change the text size, type, spacing, and reading surface to find a setting that feels comfortable. Focus mode reduces surrounding controls while you read. Your preferences are there to support attention to the passage, whether you are reading a familiar psalm or following a new story.

You can move by book and chapter, select a passage, and return to the words around it. The reference stays part of the experience: a sentence is easier to understand when you know where it belongs.

02

Continue the thread

Reading rarely happens in one uninterrupted sitting. Saved places and reading activity help you return to a chapter after life pulls you elsewhere. You can follow a plan or browse freely; your next reading does not have to depend on finishing yesterday’s list.

Offline access applies to the text bundled inside the mobile app. The website loads its pages and book files over an internet connection. Device-based listening also depends on the voices available on your device.

03

Two editions, clearly identified

The English World English Bible and German Lutherbibel 1912 are distinct translations. Their wording is kept separate, with a translation label and passage reference. Comparing them can draw attention to a question, especially if you read both languages, but a difference in wording is an invitation to investigate.

The current app works without a connected account. Reading settings and personal activity stay on the device. They do not automatically follow you to another phone or to this website.

IN AN ORDINARY DAY

From the passage to your own practice.

Before a journey, choose the passage you want to continue with. In the app, the bundled text remains available offline; your reading place gives you a way back. Try a larger type size or wider spacing until a whole paragraph feels comfortable to follow.

Open Mark 1 in the web reader. Read one scene, pause to name what happened, and note one question you want to carry into the next passage.
